Hello all PIRATE families! Here are a few announcements. Tomorrow, August 8th is our first day of school for all Kinder through 5th-grade students. The arrival time is at 7:55 a.m. All students must wear their full uniform including burgundy shirts and navy bottoms. It would be helpful to us if your child comes to school the same way they are going to leave school. All bus riders will be tagged as they get off the bus, car riders will be tagged as they get out of cars, and walkers will be tagged as they walk up. If you do not have a bus we will have a bus station set up in front of the school to answer any and all questions. Parents who missed orientation if your child is a car rider you will receive a number on the first day of school to participate in silent dismissal. All parents who already have a number please make sure you have it on your dashboard so that we can quickly identify your child and move the carpool line quickly. There are two crossing guards. One is stationed on Pioneer Dr. and the other on White Sands Dr. All walkers will be escorted by a teacher to meet the crossing guards after the busses are dismissed. Please do not enter the exit of our school's driveway to pick up or drop off students. This is very unsafe. Please go to our website www.parkforestmagnet.org for specific dates, students, and times for Pre-K orientation. You are encouraged to bring your Pre-K child with you. They will be able to experience their school environment. Students will not stay for a full day. Morning and aftercare begin Monday at 6:30 AM.
